A no-code website builder

As a part of Cobiro's all in one marketing platform, our team was given the task to create a website builder for our customers to succeed with creating their business website. 

We faced a rather big challenge; The market was filled with well established competitors with years of success and a lot of customers. How could we create something that was different enough that users would be willing to switch to a new builder from what they already had. 

I've always believed in that you don't have to reinvent to become a success. So the brief was quite simple. Stick the same principles as the competitors. But make it 3% better.

In our research we found out that many competitors had a slight issue. Getting started was easy and convenient, but once you had to edit something it was another case.

So we focused on a "what you see is what you get" type of builder where the setup was similar to what designers find in their respective design tools like Figma, Adobe XD and Sketch. We made it easy to make custom setups for every screensize, so users wouldn't be limited to certain grids.

Within 6 months we tested the first alpha and created a bunch of requested features and made a snappy builder where that runs the newest Jamstack technology.
